A season of
Discernment & Growth
For many years, St. Joseph Catholic Church has been blessed with a growing and vibrant parish community. As our ministries, religious education programs, and parish life continue to expand, we are prayerfully discerning how our facilities can best support our mission, both now and for generations to come.
Where We Are in the Process
WeWe are pleased to share an important step forward in our parish’s building plans. With the approval of Archbishop McGovern and the Archdiocesan Finance Council, we have received authorization to move ahead with the construction of a new rectory. As we look toward celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2030, this campaign represents more than new buildings—it is an investment in the life and future of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
Our goal is to plan thoughtfully and proactively for the needs of our growing community. The first phase focuses on constructing the new rectory by the end of 2026. Once complete, the current rectory will be removed to make way for a new parish hall and additional parking, creating the space needed to support parish life for generations to come.
The new rectory will be located south along 9th Street. Pending final permit approvals, site preparation is expected to begin shortly after July 4th, with completion and move-in anticipated by January 2026.
Looking ahead, preparations for the future parish hall will begin as early as possible in 2027, with construction projected for completion in 2028. Activities on our current campus are expected to continue without disruption until work begins on the expansion of the Nave.
What Comes Next
We are currently in the planning phase of a campaign, with a goal of securing between $5 million and $7.5 million in commitments before Labor Day. The campaign will begin with a quiet phase focused on leadership and early support. Later this summer, parish leadership will personally invite every household to prayerfully consider participating in this important effort.

Transparency & Communication
We are committed to keeping our parish informed at every stage. Updates will be shared as major milestones are reached. Once construction begins (if approved), we will provide regular monthly updates.
All key documents, letters, and planning materials will be available here on this page. Our goal is to proceed prayerfully, transparently, and in unity as a parish family.
Rooted in Mission
Any potential expansion is not about buildings alone; it is about strengthening the mission of St. Joseph Catholic Church to proclaim the Gospel, form disciples, and serve our community.
We ask for your continued prayers as we seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance in this important time of discernment.
