Steeplechase Fun Walk/Run

As part of the larger 2024 Springfield Days events, join us for a fun morning of a trip through our town.

Schedule

The schedule for the race is:

Assemble and Check-in: 7:45-8:30am

Runners’ Start: 8:30am

Walkers’ Start: 8:35am

Water and sports drinks will be available after the race. The Methodist church (three short blocks down Main Street) will be hosting a Springfield Days pancake breakfast, and runners are invited to attend.

Cost

The cost of the run for individuals is $20. Families with minor children are $50. (The family registration fee is for adult parents and their minor children only.) Proceeds will go to the Springfield United Methodist Church Food Pantry. Payment can be done in advance by Venmo. The Venmo handle is: @stjosephspringfield. During check-in times (see below) payments can be made at the St. Joseph Parish Hall by cash, credit card, and Venmo.

Registration Periods

Early Registration: Through May 16th. Registration by this date guarantees a t-shirt for each participant.

Later Registration: May 17th through June 6th at 12:00pm. Registration in this period does not guarantee a t-shirt for participants.

Check-In

Race participants can check in and pick up shirts on Friday, June 7th, from 4:30pm-6:30pm, at the St. Joseph Parish Hall at 100 S. 9th St. Check-in will also take place immediately before the race at the St. Joseph Parish Hall.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top three finishers each of the following three categories:

Masters, Men and Women, 55 and up

Teens/Adults, Men and Women

Youth, Boys and Girls, 12 and under

I understand that photos will be taken at this event and that some photos of runners and volunteers of all ages will be used in social media. I consent to that usage for myself and/or my child.

Liability Waiver and Parental Consent Form

In order to participate in the event, all adults need to complete a liability waiver in advance or on the day of the event. The waiver can be found at this link.

For all minors (those under 19 years old), a parent or guardian will need to complete a consent form in advance or on the day of the event. The consent form can be found at this link.

A confirmation email will be sent shortly from the event team to confirm your registration.
