Lace up your running shoes and join us for a morning of fun and fitness at the Steeplechase 5k Run and 1-Mile Walk on Saturday, June 13th, in the charming town of Springfield, NE. Whether you choose to run or stroll, this event promises to be a wonderful way to engage with friends, family, and neighbors during the 20256 Springfield Days town celebration.  Don’t miss out!

REGISTRATION AND COSTS

Individual – $25
Families with minor children* – $50
*For adult parents and their minor children only.

Registrations are available on the day of the event until 7:30 AM. 
**Register by May 26th to guarantee a   T-shirt. 

RACE SCHEDULE

6:30 – 7:30 AM – Assemble and Check-in
8:00 AM – Runners Start*
8:05 AM – Walkers Start

*There will be no time recorders during the race for runners.

RACE CHECK-IN

Pick up shirts and racing packets Friday, June 12th, from 6PM-7:30PM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the Parish Hall. St. Joseph Catholic Church is located on 100 S. 9th Street.

Check-in is also available immediately before the race.

END OF RACE

 All participants are invited to the First United Methodist Church Springfield Days pancake breakfast.

AWARDS

Medals given to all participating runners. Top 3 male and female in each age group recognized during award ceremony after race.

PROCEEDS

Proceeds support Springfield United Methodist Church Food Pantry.

Steeplechase Map

The Springfield Days Steeplechase Fun Run/Walk offers two great routes for participants of all ages and fitness levels! Water stations will be available along both courses to keep you refreshed.

5K Run (3.1 miles)

The race starts and finishes at St. Joseph Church, weaving through Springfield’s charming streets and passing Buffalo Park. Runners will enjoy a mix of flat roads and gentle inclines as they make their way west toward the MoPac Trail, adding a scenic touch before looping back into town.

Walk (1.15 miles)

For those looking for a shorter, more relaxed route, the walk follows a pleasant 1.15-mile path through Springfield. Beginning at St. Joseph Church, walkers will follow part of the run course, enjoying the same friendly atmosphere and community spirit before returning to the finish line.

You must be 18 years of age to legally complete this registration. If the registrant is under 18, an authorized adult must complete this form.

Proceeds will go to the Springfield United Methodist Church Food Pantry. Payment may be made by through this form or the day of. During check-in times (see above) payments can be made at the St. Joseph Parish Hall by cash or credit card.

The above named ACTIVITY PARTICIPANT OR FACILITY USER agrees to defend, protect, indemnify and hold harmless the above named PARISH against and from all claims arising from the negligence or fault of the above named ACTIVITY PARTICIPANT OR FACILITY USER which arise out of the above named ACTIVITY OR USAGE at the above named PARISH including but not limited to any personal injury, property damage, disability, death, and sickness or disease including, without limitation, any communicable disease.

Additionally, the above named ACTIVITY PARTICIPANT OR FACILITY USER agrees to protect, defend, hold harmless and fully indemnify the above named PARISH for any claim or cause of action whatsoever arising out of the above mentioned ACTIVITY OR USAGE which takes place during the above identified DATE(S) OF ACTIVITY OR USAGE that is brought against the PARISH by the above named ACTIVITY PARTICIPANT OR FACILITY USER or their family members whether such claim arises from the alleged negligence of the PARISH, its employees or agents or ACTIVITY PARTICIPANT or FACILITY USER’S negligence. If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance thereof, shall continue in full legal force and effect.
